Under load? I've always noticed it. I'm not really sure if it's normal or not. Then again, our engine aren't exactly the best balanced so a little vibration would seem to be normal. Just feedback coming through the throttle cable.

Don't know if it applies to other years/engines, but I seem to recall reading about a Ford TSB about a similar vibration/noise problem from the gas pedal on my year Ranger - it was linked primarily to the cruise control set at a certain speed.

Seems to me that it must be related to the throttle cable - you may want to see if there's excessive play in the cable at it routes to the throttle body - e.g. maybe tie it down or cushion it anywhere where it seems it may have extra movement.

Hope this can help.

Yep, its really annoying. I've been meaning to try some silicone on the cable and linkage down there. I'm thinking it will dampen the vibration. Now that you've all reminded me, I'm going to try it this weekend.

theres a tsb on 3.0s for it rubbing on the egr tube and vibrating. mine was vibrating against the hood cable so i zip tied them together in one spot there they touched and its gone, i dealt with it for a year before i found it

it depends on the age and model of the truck. my 07 fx4 is perfict but my 05 xl vibrates a lot, enough to make my foot fall asleep on long trips.

I’ve got the exact same issue. Although I do feel a small amount of vibrating
