Trying to locate the cp403 solenoid

Hey everyone. New here, first post. I have a P0442 code. Trying to locate where the CP403 solenoid is located. I have purchased it and want to replace it. I've looked everywhere in the engine bay and online with no answer. Hopefully someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)

This is usually a loose gas cap or small leak in filler or vent hose

Would expect these if purge valve was failing
P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit
P0444 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit
P0445 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Shorted

Always good to look up codes on a full list, like this one: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...II_codes.shtml
Computer has many codes to choose from so the codes it does NOT use mean as much as the code it does use

There is a pressure sensor on the gas tank, the EVAP system uses engine vacuum to put some negative pressure in the gas tank, and then see if tank can hold that negative pressure, if pressure holds but slowly drops then P0442, small leak
If pressure doesn't hold at all then you get
P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)
Big leak, lol

As for the location, try drivers side of engine bay on inner fender under 4wheel ABS unit, thats was for 3.0l I did back a few years

Turned out to be a crack in the fuel filler neck hose. 🤪 easy fix but hard to pin point where the problem was.
