Help!!! How exactly do you fit the rear tensioner???
Hi All,
I am trying to fit the rear tensioner in my V6 4.0i. I cannot get the damn thing to catch on the threads and can't push any harder......argggh!! It's giving me sleepless nights.
Is there a certain way to do this or must I accept I'll never be able to get the damn thing fitted??

Your profile notes a "2020" Ranger 4.0L; assuming this should be a "2005"? Please correct this.
Did you prefill the RightRear OilPressurized TimingTensioner with Oil?
If so, put that Tensioner in a Vice & press most of the Oil out;
makes pushing it into the Head & getting threads to start easier; make sure NOT to crossthread.
Also remove right wheel & lower rubber skirt, then drill a hole thru lower edge of hard plastic upper skirt;
allows better access & a straight shot with a long extension & socket to that Tensioner.
Be sure to use a new Gasket\Seal\Washer & that its centered as you snug up Tensioner.
When ready to start engine, do a ColdStartGasPedalToFloorPreCrank,
to completely pump up those Tensioners with oil before starting.
Hopefully this helps.
