Fuel capacity?
#7
Can you actually run on that "reserve tank" though? I noticed the same, mine is an '02 Ranger Supercab and it says 19.5 in the manual but the most I have put in is 16.6, so I was really wondering... (since that was with the check gauge light on) I wasnt about to test that theory out unless I had a gas can in back filled up, but even then I thought it was bad to run it til it's out?
Besides that I do get about around 300 miles to the tank and fill up with around 16 gallons, so my average MPG is 18

I ran mine out on purpose when it was fairly new to find out how much reserve it had. Of course I carried extra fuel with me. It does hold 19.5 gallons but you can get slightly more in it if you push it. I understand overfilling is not recommended because it can damage the evaporative emissions system.
Originally, I had about 3 gallons reserve when the light came on. After I changed the fuel pump with a new sending unit, it now has only about 2 gallons reserve. Those number vary depending on if I am driving around town and how hard I a braking or driving on flat highway.
