New knock noise

I zoomed past someone on the highway last night and got a new noise. Any guesses befour I troubleshoot.

First thing: Exhaust leak
How many miles on your...what, later 4.0sohc?
Maybe a weird, popped, hissing PCV valve/pipe, or some such.
Something caught in the vibration damper? ...plastic bag in the fan shroud?
The oddest rattle in the world? Do chain tensioner cassettes break under stress?
