Ticking/knocking/hard to explain noise.

Hey everyone. I have a really annoying clicking/ticking/knocking noise coming from my passenger side dash. With or without A/C on. My mechanic determined that it isn’t the engine or transmission. When we popped my glove box out he used a stethoscope to narrow down the noise and it’s definitely coming from something in that general area. If anyone has any thoughts on this let me know the noise drives me INSANE lol. Thanks everyone.

Does it depend on speed? If not, you should be able to find it just sitting in your driveway.

No it doesn’t depend on speed it idles and does it. The only issue is I don’t have any idea of what could be doing it. I just don’t want to rip everything apart unless I am fairly confident in what it could be. Thank you for your response.

You don't have to rip everything apart. If it's in the dash, you don't have to worry about the seat, door, floor etc.

I'd start by dropping the glove box. Open it, then press the sides inwards.

Any idea of what it could be though?

With a stethoscope, it should be fairly quick to narrow down, at least the specific location. "Clicking/ticking/knocking noise" is not enough to even venture a guess. There's so much going on behind the dash. At this point my best advice is to start poking and prodding around.
