remove pcv valve
I don't know if this applies to you.
The PCV valve on my 2005 is in the rear-facing surface of the left side (driver's side) valve cover.
In my case, the PCV valve (pictured in parts catalogs) appears to have coarse threads molded into it's body.
However, there doesn't seem to be clearance to fully unscrew the PCV valve before hitting the firewall.

There is often a coolant loop on the PCV Valve so it doesn't freeze in winter, the PCV Valve will spin in this loop to remove and replace
Remove the vacuum hose then pull the PCV Valve out, THEN swap coolant hoses

The coolant pipe needs to be spread just a tad to release the old PCV valve.
AutoZone's PCV1001DL didn't come with a pipe. Waddaya expect for $5.49?
The old one was gunked up and there was gasoline or just smelly water condensate in the "valve to intake" pipe (the big 90º one).
