setting proper cam timing on 4.0

I purchased the tool on amazon to set the cam timing. My tool labels its use for 2004-2010. My explorer is a 2005. Everything in the kit appears that it will work EXCEPT for the tool that holds the crakshaft at TDC. I searched through at least ten other tools on amazon and they all have the same parts as my kit does. The tool that grabs the teeth on the balancer only works with one style of balancer.....NOT WITH MINE. I have the balancer with the flimsy pot metal grey looking reluctor ring. The kits only work with the solid cogged teeth. what can I do? Is there a different tool available? I will post pictures of the difference between the two styles of balancers.

MY style.......tool wont engage at all......nor would i want it to, as the teeth are fairly fragile being nearly sheetmetal of some sort.

This IS the type the tool works with. Even though mine is a 2005 model year and directly in the years that the tool is meant for.

This is the tool. It appears to be the same tool ive found in every kit. and ive searched through alot of kits.

amazons details about my tool kit.
