Thats It!!! No more 4.0!!!! Stupid Ford Techs!!!

So I'm on my merry way to Cincinatti to pick up my step bars then to Nashville for my cap. Then IT happens.

Thanks alot ford. The new estimate to repair my truck is now $5513.09. Thanks again ford. When they told me that, my eyes went *cha$ching*. Screw that 4.0. I'm tired of all this b/s.

What happened you might ask? Well mister connecting rod didn't like his home so he decided to go alcatraz and bust out of the joint. For all of you who saw an airplane fly over their heads, I threw a rod.

I was 3/4 of the way to Cincinatti(400 miles) when my truck decided that it was tired of being on cruise control for the last four hours. So it bucked and shook like crazy while throwing out a batman-esque smoke cloud out the back. You know what really sucks? I just put mobil 1 in there two days ago! Damn it!

*Sigh* So know I'm busy running around gathering my goodies in an 06 STX.

I don't even know what else to say. I'm exhausted. Been up since 9am Friday morning....

Heads are gonna roll.....trust me on that. The lawyer will be involved first thing Monday morning. Whether it comes from the insurance company or ford....someone is paying for this and it sure as hell isn't going to be me.

And what you're all waiting for..........

I've got around 15 pics uploading lagging the hell out of my wireless connection. Just so happens I brought my new 8mp canon digi cam for *****+giggles. I thought I'd snap a few pics of the truck when the topper was installed, turns out it came in handy for this unforeseen reason.

MY RENTAL!!!!!!!!!!

OMFG! I feel like a second class citizen driving this thing. How in the f* do you guys manage w/o power windows/locks/mirrors???? I'm going nuts. It's 2wd too!!! I've never driven a 2wd ranger. I feel like I'm driving an escort. I'm getting a headrush from all this oxygen sitting a a lower altitude.

If this work was done at a dealership it should be covered under a parts and labor warranty of the dealership. That is one of the few reasons to go to a ford dealership.

Over $5k, dang you could probably get a supersix motorsports 4.0 for that much. And easily a V8.

it's a 2wd 4banger, what do you think? ROFL!

This is from the lil ford dealer where my truck is sitting. All the big name companies like hertz and enterprise had a freakin waiting list. How ghey is that? This isn't a one way rental. I'm def not driving it back to my house then back to Cincinnati. Screw that.
