Icon4 Truck randomly dies....

Ok...I jumped my friend's jeep this morning, a lot....Afterwards, I was driving, went to shift into 4th gear, on a hill, rainy conditions....stalled and would not restart. Got it started again, ran fine. Got to a friend's house, let it sit, went to drive it and had it stall again. Started after disconnecting batt.AGAIN, the truck stalled on my way home, up a hill, after running over a downed branch. Was shifting into 4th gear again. Truck started again after disconnecting batt and pressing the fuel shut off switch.anyone know what's up?! Truck has been running fine since the fuel shutoff was messed with. I'll explain symptoms in detail, as needed.

An 06 and it isn't under warrantee?
Have you checked to see if the alternator is good?
Have you pulled codes?

I'm gonna go with the fuel shutoff being the problem. Calling the dealership tomorrow....had it stall on me again tonight, coming off the interstate...reached over, and lo and behold, the shutoff was tripped.....at least I know how to get her moving again and why she stops!

Quite likely the fuel cutoff. Had a faulty one on my 05, and it would randomly die on the highway. When it went out completely and left me stranded on the highway, I pried the top off it, put two quarters in it, and put the top back on. Worked perfectly to keep the button pushed in. My 50 cent fix. The switch costs about $25 at the dealership. Real easy to replace.

JUST to be on the safe side...I'm gonna let the dealership have it for a day so they can pull her apart and check everything. Anyone feel like giving me a ride to and from work? haha.
