which v6?

Ok, so what v6 comes in a 2004 ranger edge edition. Its got a 5speed manual if that matters. How many horses does this engine put out and what can be done for cheap to get more out of it... and yes I did try to look this up on the internet but had no luck and I don't fell like gettin out the manual. Thanks ahead of time

It's most likely the 3.0L, most regular cabs came with that. I think they have 146 HP stock.

Well when I drive it hard it can get up and go decent, that's why I am leaning to the 4.0, would it be the sohc or ohv if it is the 4.0. It can spin the tires in 2nd gear on blacktop too if that tells you anything.

not trying to sound like a jackass but first off, read the owner's manual, we can't tell you want motor you got,and second i had a 2.2 s10 that i could spin the tires all the way thru 1st gear and 2nd gear and i could even get a little chip off the tires goin into 3rd somedays, the last thing i gotta say is pay attention to what you are getting, are you even sure it's a 2004 edge

It definitely has the 3.0 or the 3.weak
I had a 2002 Ranger Edge with a 3.0 and I haven't seen any other Edges with a 4.0 or a 2.3.
I have a 2004 3.0 now with 3:55 gears and it about as "ball-less" as a V6 can be.
