Just joined? I'm not on the welcoming Committe but, WELCOME.
Include details of your vehicle.
Owned it since new? Is it new to you? Model / trim level / engine? Miles? Overall condition? Manual or automatic?
Do you have a code reader? There are plenty of affordable readers on the market.
Factor in any other vehicles in your circle. You may want to spend a few dollars more for features needed on family members' vehicles.
Clearing codes and seeing which return and how quickly they do is often very helpful.
Don't be one of those people who says, "I go down to the AutoZone for free reads".
You can't own a truck and cry you don't have money for a $20- $100- $200 reader, as many do.

Do you work on vehicles yourself?

If you don't know the history of your truck (including how it was driven) consider clearing the codes you have (after noting them) and taking it out for a long, hard run.
I'm assuming it's not running rough or bucking.

Also, consider revolving your avatar.
