I have a '94 Ranger 4.0 V6, 5sp manual.
Managed to break one of the hoses that runs across the firewall to the driver side spritzer.
Tracing back, there's this T connector and a hose that appears to go into the cabin.
What does this hose do?

What is the purpose of this hose?

 

Best guess, it just goes to a bolt sticking out of the firewall to plug the hose.

Somebody only had a tee to patch the hose and that's what they used.

 

I kinda like that guess. I will check it out a little closer tomorrow.
I just didn't want to yank on it and mess up anything late in the day.
(I can break stuff a lot faster thatn I can fix it.)
