You're looking for an M5OD-R2. Essentially the same transmission as the Ranger comes with, but with a Ford small block bellhousing. You need the one from a 4.2 V6 F150, 1997-1999 or so.
The one from a 1987-1996 F150 will not work because the shifter is too close to the bellhousing, which means it's too close to the dash.
