4.6 swap

Stuffing will certainly be the right word for that swap, lol
5.0l/302 is 19" wide, 4.6l is close to 30" wide
5.0l is 21" tall, 4.6l again close to 30" tall
Since they are both V8s length is the same, 1/2" difference
2 valve 4.6l SOHC isn't much better than 5.0l power wise, stock
3 valve 4.6l SOHC does bring up HP but also costs more
4 valve Cobra 4.6l DOHC is silly expensive
If you are interested in getting the power then a built 5.0l/302 would cost less and fit better, also way easier to work on or get parts for down the road
And just as a heads up the 4.6l 2 valve was build at two different Ford plants, Romeo and Windsor plants, and they are NOT identical, go figure.
The engine blocks are slightly different, the cams and cam gears are different, the crankshafts are different, and the heads and valve covers are different, so know which one you have when you are getting parts
