I'm going to put in new plugs into my truck but not sure what to get. Wouldn't mind getting something a little better than the cheap off the shelf plugs. Anyone have any opinions on plugs? Brands?

Motorcraft is probably the best you can get........

 

I did search, didn't find much. On google some suggest Accel U Plugs, but little info around on them that I have found.

 

if you don't want Motorcraft, then get some plugs from Wayne ( www.stuffforyourranger.com )

 

I love my NGK's more than any other plug brand.

 

Why do you like the NGK's so much?

 

They've been the best running plugs for me, both with the N20 and without. The Motorcraft always seemed to cause my preignition (pinging) problem to increase, and seem to be less quality plugs than the NGK's. Aside from my own experiences, my neighbor who has a 70's Camaro Dragster with a 477 big block runs NGK's and swears by them.

 

Just an update. I replaced my plugs over the weekend. I went with Motorcraft Platinums. The ones I took out were the best used plugs i've ever changed. No build up or oil, just a nice even coffee color on all eight.
