10" custom box...pics

my brother and i built a box for one of his 10" xplods to put in my truck. legs didnt work out like i wanted it to but he figured somehting out to make them stable. pretty sweet because i still have the space in the back like i need. let me know what yall think.

view of the bottom....speaker faces the floor...


riders side with the amp mounted on it...


drivers side...plain.

cover the box in truck bed liner or the textured spray paint at walmart, would make a lot nice

hows it sound?

yea textured metalic is the stuff :) cheaper than carpet too...Kyle I need yo help...I need a 10 cheap and small and beats, IM me this week

that sorta looks like hell in a hand basket! Haha, just kiddin', rideac1 made me say that. It looks pretty good, I just got done with mine, all fiberglass too!







Still needs some bondo and paint...

yea im gonna cover it with that bed liner stuff. just havent gotten around to it yet. that will help seal it off real nice too. it sounds awesome. i have the amp turned down about half way but when i want to thump real hard i just reach back there and crankerup

That was my first time too! I absolutely love the box, it's not done yet, but i measured it to be about 1.3ish cubes. I think my RE SX 12" will look good in it. It hasn't hardly made a beat yet :) I will bring that sucker to life!!!!

yes it does! I'm actually gonna get fiberglass tape, and tape the whole inside seam, then finish fiberglassing the inside. As of right now, it's air tight, I put the speaker in and it had a suction to it.

You should make a mold, I mean go and smooth it out and make it look really nice and then make a mold of them and then you can create them really easy and you could sell them. I know i personaly would go and buy one if you were to make them.

I was talking to my dad about making a rubber mold for the box. The only thing I would have to fabricate that was time intensive would be the sub ring, which isn't bad at all. How much do you think I could sell them for? I'm sure if I made a few of them, cost of materials would go down too. Any ideas???
