amp mounting
amp mounting
i have an 02 edge extended cab and i just bought my amp and its 10" x 20" and i want to mont it to the back wall, the amp came with these very small screws that look like they would eventually tear out of the wall. do you guys have any suggestions as to mounting the amp so it wouldn't fall of the back wall.
If you want less rust and less fuss, you can secure a piece of wood however your able to under the carpet on the rear wall and mount it to that.
I've done it in the past, has always worked pretty good and doesn't leave holes in the body.

Pull the rear panel off, hot glue four 2"x2"x1/2" blocks were you want to mount and line up with th mounting holes on the amp. Drill the appropriate size pilot hole for a wood screw, re-install panel and attach amp. Hot glue will hold the blocks on while you drill screws will hold the blocks and amps on till you want to remove it.
