Bazooka Help, audio noobie

Dudes, I just picked up a powered bazooka sub for cheap. I have no audio experience whatsoever. It did come with a manual, but the instructions are very vague, and really do not explain much. It also came with wires, which hopefully I have them all. I'd love to put this thing in myself. So where do I start??

This is your subs installation manual.
http://www.bazooka.com/techInfo_wiri...sp?diagram=RSA

for the stock radio yoiu will not need the rca`s. or that big wiring control thing

the small harness with the black and red wire must be hooked up first.
-run a power wire from you fuse box under your hood to this wire(the amp has a built in fuse)(powers sub)
-black wire is ground(conect this to your jump seat mounts)(assuming sub will be in back seat)(either seat)

For the harness with the rca`s and the green and grey and orange wire.
-run a power wire from your power wire (blue) on your cig lighter behind your radio bezel to the orange wire on this harness(remote turn on switch)
-the blue and grey wires will not be used (tape them off)
- the green wires tap into your rear speaker wires(again either side will work) green with black stripe is neg on speaker . solid green is positive on speaker.

Please ask any questions. i have this exact setup.

no it does not, it is for an optional remote(aftermarket radio) go buy a paclk of 12gauge power wire and extend the power and ground to reach where they need to go.
use speaker wire to extend the green wires to go to the rear speaker(pack of wire taps are for conecting into the speakers existing wires).

I ran the same setup with my old stock radio. The sub gets it's signal from the rear speakers, instead of the RCA feed. Works just fine, but I didn't use the option where the sub turns on when it senses signal. There is too little power from the staock radio, and the sub keeps cycling on and off. I just ran a seperate power wire that turns the sub on with the radio. Works much better that way.

I now have an Alpine with seperate RCA feeds for the sub. Still have the Bazooka, and it still sounds great.

quick question for mounting the zooka.
Well im either thinking of putting it on the ledge of my supercabs rear area facing the back side window and drivers side speaker. This would eliminate use of 1 jumpseat.

Or on the floor; the little center ledge facing towards my center console. It fits on there well and would allow me to still use both jumpseats.Hopefully you know what places i'm talking about. I think it would be cool on the floors center bump but in the manual it says it should be facing into a corner. Whatta ya think???

If you mount it in the middle then no one is def gonna wanna sit in the back. Facing it towards the corner is ideal but if I were you, I'd just set it on the floor facing the door.

whys that? Then i'd still have both jumpseats. with it on the ledge i won't. But i'll probably put it on the ledge so its in a corner. I'll try it both ways and see what sounds better.

Why don't you put the bazooka tube on the hump then try sitting back there. There's no leg room as it is. You're congesting the leg room for both jump seats. If you set it on the floor on either side you'll have the use of one jump seat with extra leg room. Besides, if you put it behind the driver's seat then you don't have to worry about being squished with your seat the whole way up to have someone sit behind you. As long as all your wiring is taped up good, you can throw your junk back there too =]

It's a win-win situation. Hell, I have buckets up front and lost a jump seat so I can only have two passengers. I'm sure you have a bench seat and can fit three up front. No worries, a Ranger isn't exactly a party bus to begin with bro.
