for those with components. what size are you running? 5.25 6" 6.5"??
and where do you have the tweeters mounted?
what components/amps are you runnning and how do they sound? hows the mid bass? i like alot of punch from my speakers so mid range is key!

6.5 will give off more mid-bass because they hit lower frequencies. I ended up mounting my MB Quart Premium series tweeters in the front defrost panel up by the windshield, it's easy to remove and install. I placed my crossovers in my glove box and the 6.5s in the door... sound unbelievable!
in my Ranger i had a set of these...

i guess they're high end speakers. SQ was amazing. i know of many who ran them in their SQ comp cars. had it not been for my careless brother, i'd still have them (he blew one woofer one night while borrowing my truck) they ran about $900 for the set, a couple of years ago. these contained tweeters and a set of 6" woofers. with the appropriate baffle, they fit inside the doors just fine. i mounted the tweeters up on the dash. mids sound very good in this set. i felt the highs were a bit soft, which is what i prefer, so overall, the set really sounded great.
I have a 2004 F150 now. stock sound absolutely blows, lol, so it wasn't long before i needed a new set of components. I just picked up a set of Dynaudio Esotec System 242 about two weeks ago. They're also high end speakers that do very well sq-wise. the shop right by my house has a competition porsche that they let me demo them in to see what they heard like. i fell in love right away, and bought them. they only ran me about $800. this set contains oversized 7" woofers with tweeters. both were mounted in my doors with baffels made for each one. even at the larger 7" diameter, mids are very very tight, and sound is exceptional. in fact i had to dynomat my two front doors because the mids hit really well. i haven't fine tuned my system yet, and already i'm more than satisfied, lol.
here's a link for the Dyn's if you're interested in them...

for the amp, i use my Eclipse PA5422. any amp within Eclipse's PA line is going to be very strong. i've had this amp for a few years now, and it's solid. i'd stay away from their EA line, as these amps aren't as great. I'd also skip on a lot of their newer stuff as well. the PA5422 i have now is a work horse, and has done great for which ever pair of speakers i through at it. if it comes time to get a new amp sometime soon, i'll be looking into McIntosh's amps.
