im looking at door and rear speakers for my 98 ranger and i dont know what to choose because there are component, non component, and there are like 80 brands and everyone has their own opinion on certain brands. i want some bass but i also want it to sound crystal clear. i was looking at kicker but im not sure. any suggestions or experience with speakers like these would be really appreciated. bythe way what is the difference between component and non component.

 

ive got alpine type s speakers in my ranger and love them.

 

get a nice set of components, i like phoenix gold

 

If you can find a set of 4 or 5 inch with a separate tweeter in a 5x7 housing you get better sound from a round speaker than an oval speaker like a 5x7. I am running clarion's but I can't remember the model.
