Extended cab owners.....POST PICS OF YOUR ENCLOSURE!!!
I'd like to get a set of components, but it sounds good to me. I'm not doing any competitions or anything and it doesn't get blasted too often anyways. My buddy has the same amp and we've purposely tried to blow out the speakers but they seem to hold up pretty well. Like i said, the amp isn't pushing nearly what it can, but that was the point. I didn't want to buy an amp that would be sufficient and run hot all the time.
So far, it's been good to me, but I'll keep in mind what you mentioned. Good info to keep in mind regarding the Infinity's. Thanks for the heads up!

not a good pic, used one from b4. its basically about 1.2 cu ft sealed behind drivers seat with a elemental designs 13kv.3 and a kenwood 500w rms amp on the back. the box does its job, but ill eventually fiber glass one. and that sub pounds LOW!!!
Here is my setup. Amp is mounted under the passenger seat and the box behind the passenger seat. I use one of the jump seats regularly for my daughter and wanted to be able to use the other if need be.

here's mine, i wired em up a couple days ago.
yes yes, it is just a cheap system that i got at like kragen autoparts or autozone.
i would take some pics of them in my truck, its raining pretty hard rite now so ill get some tomarrow.
They are 2-10" Visonik subs, Visonik amp. I also put in a JVC headunit to go with it.
For how cheap they were they sound great and are loud *** hell.

daniel i was thinkin bout getting one 10" **** or a 12" how do those tens sound? how much vibration out of them? i want to shake the crap out of everything but still sound good.. i measured the right sized ported box for the 15 but it wont fit in my ranger... so idk if i want the 10 or 12 they cost about the same.. i figure they both have the same size magnet so the ten should sound better but the 12 should vibrate more cuz you use a lil more power.. idk i dont think i like the look of the 4 fins on the tens 8 fins look a lot better.. anyone know if the 12"s has 8 fins on them?
Now I'm not positive here but I'm pretty sure you won't get very good sound out of under-powered subs. There's an optimal power range for every subwoofer, and thats why you get an amp that matches its/there power range

they vibrate the truck i have vibrated the mirror off a few times and i noticed the other day i set off a car alarm when i pulled into a audio store parking lot. the 10s and 12s have the same specs just the 12 is a bigger diameter is all. and in the ported box i have it puts out clear clean bass and i still get plenty of voice to come over them i would say this is the best set up i have ever owned
got my new system laying in my floor of my room..waiting on my amps to get here...then the fun of getting the 2 l5 15s in my truck...LOL.. then its time for pics and time to see if i can bust my back glass

makes a PERFECT sub enclosure - fits under jump seat
can put a 10" woofer
I currently have a Dual-voice coil MEMPHIS sub installed in it
with a 400watt RMS amp bridged to 1ohm
it sounds very nice.. all types of music..

The Memphis subwoofer i put in it worked VERY WELL
I have another choice - was Kicker speaker ( they make a shallow depth woofer too ), but opted for the Memphis- I believe it had an overall lower cu.ft ratio needed..
this box is small- but you dont loose any foot room in the back seat and it fits PERFECT under the jump seat.. I may add a second one - just for fun..
also you can hide your amp- under the passenger seat- Out of site!!
clean and simple...

I purchased it about a year ago..
I couldn't get anyone in my area to built one for me under 50.00
that is true- it has the dimension on the web site for reference if you want to buid it!
it does fit nice.. If I can find a pic in my comp. i will post it tomorrow..

When I saw Gearheads box I thought wow what a great idea. I've had it in for a while, but didn't want to post until I got an alarm. The box is all one unit and the sub is sitting in 0.96 cubic feet of space. It has two fans cooling the three amps inside the holding area and the fans are turned on by the deck. I also used the jump seat mounting hole to bolt the box to the truck. Please don't mind the dust, that's what happens when you do wood flooring, and have to haul the small sanders inside the cab to keep them from getting wet.
Here's what it looks like all closed up:

And here's the maze of wiring, amps (two Rockford 2 channel, and an Alpine mono) with the lid open, also you can see one of the fans on the lid of the box:

Just a shot of the sub in his sealed enclosure:

Proof that the seat can go all the way back AND tilt all the way back, flush mounting the sub helped with this also:
