Icon5 First CD Player Install

So I had my avic-d3 taken out of my ranger and now I'm wanting to install it into my F-150. I've never installed a radio before and have no clue how to do it. The shop here wants to charge $250 to install it!! Which seems totally ridiculous. Any tips on how to install a radio? I know I will need a dash kit and a wiring harness. I take the wiring harness and solder/splice it onto the harness coming from the D3 correct? Any tips would be great guys!

Ranger4.0 just installed my Pioneer Headunit and it seemed really simple. The connector the to the F-150 harness comes with what wire is what, then if you have the instruction manual for the radio it tells you what wire goes where on the F-150 harness plug. Connect all the wires with connectors then tape it up to keep it clean then install.

If your not colorblind and you can read, you can install a radio. The manuals should tell you what wires do what, you just have to splice them together and install it.

Yeah man that's what I was hoping to hear. I'll give it a shot, can't be too hard I hope!

It's super simple. Just solder up all the wires from the D3 to the F-150 harness and install the mounting kit.
