Jensen in-dash brake override

It took me a few weeks to finally bypass the e-brake because I couldn't find a good site to tell me how to do it.

But finally I saw a video of how to do it on youtube.

It works with most Jensen models, what you do first is:
1. Go to the language menu on your in-dash.
2. Then using your remote press 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0.
3. This will bring you to a hidden menu, you will need to press the second choice which I believe is tools.
4. You will see brake override and it will say off, click the down arrow next to off and choose the option on.
5. You are done! Your in-dash will work without having to set the e-brake.

Remember it is illegal to drive and have a DVD playing so just be smart about that. Well that's it I hope this helped you.

I bought a piece that clips onto the harness for $20 that has all the hook ups. Just go to the auto center and check them out they should have it. Or just get help with one of the employees there.

What?

With the dimmer or brake override?

If it's the brake override then go to youtube and type in something like, pioneer in-dash brake override.

I am not familiar to much with pioneer to know that.

yeah just ground the (usually pink) e-brake wire and you will never have to worry about setting the e-brake again!

The clip you are talking about is what is needed to hook up any aftermarket radio in your truck i think. I have never seen a piece that goes into a aftermarket harness to fix that. I may be wrong tho.

Check out ipak. They have a tool for Alpines (there you need to press the brake hit the ebrake and depress the brakes and than repress the brake.) This box does it all automatically at start up and you never have to work. I had a W200 for over a year and it worked every time.

On the Jensen it looks for a seequince... (SP) ... you have to pull the ebrake, put it down then pull it again for it to work.. i used to have a toggel switch for it.. and wold have to flip it on and off a few times to get it.. soo annying.. this is news to me though.. wish it dident get stolen :(
