what he said
it doesnt matter as long as the rms wattage matches and the amp actualy puts out what it says it does

fyi.. ive never used the remote bass *****

set gains the right way with a DMM and then it you want less... turn down that part of the EQ in the headunit

ok so i got my subs and apparently they wired em wrong from how he said they would wire em. instead of the 2 ohm both subs say 4 ohm dual voice coil.

and on the outside of the box where the amp hooks up to it says 4 ohms and in the pic of the box and in the description (which i saw before i bought it) it showed 2 ohm

and if i understand everything the only diff between like 1, 2, and 4 ohms is just resistance so like if its wired for 2 ohms you can send more power to it than you could 4 ohms or somethin like that??? and if that is true can i wire them for a 2 ohm load. any help or input would be greatly appreciated

i already cleared this up for you lol
but for other people that my have the same problem

the reason the sub box said the subs were 2 ohms.. is casue they are
dual voice coil 4 ohm subs can be wired at either 2 ohms or 8 ohms
since he got 2 dvc 4ohm subs, he could only wire them at 1 or 4 ohms

the amp he bought isnt very stable at 1 ohm but they say that only cause it gets hotter than usual and most people dont make sure their amps get enough air for the heatsinks to actualy work
all he has to do is make sure its well ventilated and everything will be alright

that would be correct. ha. and the amp is out in the open with the port of the box aiming right at the amp so the cooler air comin out of the box is hitting the amp.
