I originally had the xm roady 2 but I didn't like the look. So, I bought the Pioneer 470mp premier stereo to replace the stock 6 cd and once I got that in decided that I just didn't have enough bass. As usual, a stock box wasn't good enough for me, so I had one fabbed up, ripped out the drivers jump seat, and here you have it. It's anchored to the rear of the cab and to the floor. The sub is a 10" Kole, most likely to be swapped out with a memphis in time. The box has a 3" port. A Memphis 250 watt sub amp provides the power. The thing kicks some serious ***. It's not ridiculously loud, but it's alot louder than I'll ever need.

I've become pretty good friends with the owner of Eagle Mobile Electronics here in Vineland, he built the box for around $130. The amp was $265, the sub was $100, and the stereo was $199. I installed everything including all wiring, the xm in-dash adapter and the amp itself. Hardest part? Getting thru the friggin firewall. I have so many wires from the KC lights going thru there already. :)

 

Dremels are your friend vs. the firewall...

will that amp fit under your seat?? if so, i'd move it down there if i were you, you could gain another click back it looks if the amp weren't in the way. anyhow, looks good!

 

It would fit, but the seat is all the way back. so there's no need. I like it mounted to the box to keep it clean looking. I can also lean the seat way back still, even though I rarely do that. :)

 

thats cool then. i'd probably mount the amp there as well then if the seat was as far back as it could go. no need to scrape for inches then!
