My System Is Done!!!!!!! Lots of PICSSS!!!!!!!
Weel i finally finished my sound system and i have to say im VERY happy with the results. My first couple trys at making a good box werent that great, what happened was i made one box and thought it sounded alright but then decided i wanna try ported, then the second try i made the box too big and the port too big. So i went pioneers site and got some specs for the woofers and presto it all works wonderfully.
Here is where ll the carnage started.
This was the first box i made.
And now here is the new and improved box, along with the amp box.
the fire extinguisher will screwed on a bit later, along with a mag lite on the other side.
Seat is back in!!! :D:D:D
the rust on the carpet is just from the tools i left inside.
Over all im really glad with the system, everything shakes in there like crazy, i have my neighbours across the street complaining already and i only had it up to half volume. And look at all the space i still have!! Mad shout outs goes to int3rceptor for a sweet system, i bought it off him for a great price and im very happy! thanks dude, i only have one question though, how did u secure the the ring around the sub?

I have the JVC KD-G320, its a nice deck but i wish I would have waited to get the newer model with the usb port in the face plate.

haha thanks man! Lets just say your head hurts after five mins at maybe half volume.....
it turns the truck into a massge unit, the doors vibe, windows flex, etc....ill get a couple vids up of it.

its actually not that shallow...unless you consider 5 1/2" depth shallow.

not too bad. i would have angled the subs a bit differently so they're not firing at one another (messes with sound waves, etc.). but if it sounds good, then no worries!
and yeah, i was gonna mention ventilating the amp, but you said you plan on it, so that's good.

It doesnt matter where its mounted as long as its mounted somewhere, could be near the battery, under the dash, beise the amp...wherever you want. My best option was to put it near the amp for a few reasons, if i put it near the battery then i run the risk of flooding it when i go offroading, its very accessible and easy to maintain and see by the amp box.

I was wondering if that would have affected the sound if i placed them like that...

Actually, placing the fuse or circuit breaker near the battery (I believe IASCA guidelines require it to be within 18" of the battery-but most of can cheat that by 6" or so if necessary) protect the cable from shorts between the battery & amp. The fuse at the amp only protects the amp.
I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND installing a fuse or breaker close to the battery (you can still keep the one near the amp). You look to be using 4ga power wire... you can get an inline waterproof fuse holder (for under the hood) for about $10. It might be the best $10 you spend. A circuit breaker (about $10 - $15) would work just as well, just mount it on the inner fender area-about the same height as the battery.
It might sound like overkill, but the last thing you want is to burn up all the hard work you've just done. I've seen it happen before, it ain't pretty.
The enclosed amp looks cool, but you might want to install the PC fan on one side & cut a hole the same size as the fan on the other side for optimum cooling performance.
