Ok I was thinking of taking the padding from my flip down seats in back off and put an 8 inch sub on each seat and then i could flip them up when im not driving for protection, just wanting some opinions on it. Thanks

It wouldnt be in a sealed box if you did it that way unless you built in some heavy duty weather stripping with a lot of clamps (this would be too much of a hassle). People have built custom enclosures in the rear seat locations that looked amazing and saved a lot of space.

Yea....what noah said. I just don't see there being enough room......now if it were a full size, with a full bench, that'd be a different story.

If you could find a way to put them in their own enclosure it might work, but if you're just going to have subs sitting there in open air, you're not gonna be any better off than you are now.

are those seats solid when they are flipped down. it seems as though they would vibrate and bounce all over the place. typically speakers are mounted to a solid static surface.

i forgot where i was reading a 'how to' on this type of thing.. basically, the guy cut the foam out of the bottom of the back seat in a Jeep Wrangler. and put a box in there, secured it and then covered it with the seat cover with only the subs facing down... he used the shallow mount subs that are like 3" tall
