first time im looking @ buying a 96 Reg. Ranger and if i get it im putting a Audio system into it asap and im just curious...sence the sub is right behind the seat do u really need rear speakers at all? because i would think you wouldn't really beable to hear them all to well

 

a lot of people just run the front speakes and amp them up some. the rears dont do much in the reg cab anyway. im sure someone with more experience will chime in soon

yeah don't bother putting rear speakers in if you're gonna do a sub back there.. just focus on the front speakers and let the sub fill the rear

 

don't bother w/rear speakers. just amp up the front ones. the ultimate set up in a ranger is:

good quality component set up front, amped
sub behind the seat

if you already bought a 4 channel for the speakers, just bridge (according to amp owner manual) the 2 channels for more power.

 

Agreed rear speakers are useless in a reg cab. Alot of pple will cut out the housings to fit a sub box in there better which isn't such a bad idea.

 

I kept mine for when i decide to sell they are there. if i didnt care, i would have taken them out. I can tell when the rear speakers arent playing, but its very minute.
