So when I bought my truck the rear speakers never worked. I also do have an aftermarket head unit that was installed when I bought the truck. So I looked and the old speakers were not there. So I bought new speakers and put them in and still no sound from the rear. I clicked the cd on the head unit and sound played from the rear and front. But on Bluetooth it doesn’t come out of the rear. How does this make sense.

 

What year Ranger?

Regardless of year look at a few "Premium" systems they have different wiring for a separate amplifier, especially with CD units

Bluetooth, I assume, is from the 3rd party head unit, so may not be(probably is not) wired correctly to get sound from rear
Also check FADER control on the head unit, could be set so only front speakers get a signal

Sound like the head unit is faulty. What make is it.

 

it’s a 2000. The fader is not at the front. I tried to put the fader to the back and still no sound from the back.

Well assuming all wire connection are correct and secure the issue point to a bad unit. Only works on CD.

 

I’ll probably just order one and change it. Any suggestions on good head units that aren’t crazy expensive?

 

That depends on what your idea of expensive is. I bought a 7" touch screen with all the bells and whistle for less than $300. Not including the wire connector so i didn't have to cut the factory radio harness.

Then yes, Kenwood system error, if CD works but bluetooth doesn't, on all 4 speakers

Call or send an email, may be a know issue and a simple fix

In the setting menu Bluetooth is setup as Front Only
I bet its the same on your ddx371
