Reusing stock speaker inclosure

Howdy All!
Just bought a new set front and back of JL Audio speakers for my 2021 XLT. Installed the rear set and noticed they didnt seem to have the "punch" the factory set seemed to have. I have deduced it might be the stock baffle enclosure thats mated to the stock speaker, since they werent used on the install. Looked at the construction and doesnt seem to be a way to mate a new pair of speakers with it... which i was hoping to do in the front. Anyone have any success in pulling that feat off?

UPDATE: For giggles i pulled out the factory speaker and test fit the JL in the factories position. It seems it will work with some adjustment. images added for reference. Once they are mounted on the top i can remount the enclosures back into the factory slots. More images incoming as i progress...
