which would be louder. 2- type r 12" sealed with 1500 rms or 1 type r 12" ported with 750 rms. either way they will be in an ext. cab

they wont handle 1500rms a piece, you might get away pumping 750rms each, but thats still quite a bit...they're rated for 500rms. i'd say 2 of them in a big ported box. it also depends on what type of music you listen to and how much your willing to pay and such

yeah it depends on what you think is loud. are you looking for something that gives the most response while you're sittin in your truck (feel the pressure)... or are you looking for something that you might hear 3 blocks away.. there are different definitions of loud.

I gave my 2 type r's 1600watts rms for the pair in a ported box. it was loud as hell...but if you pushed them too hard for too long you could smell the VC's start to cook haha

my last setup was 2 type R's in a sealed box (inverted) with 1200 watts rms for the pair. It was still pretty loud but it hit real hard. The person I sold it too put it in his Nissan SE-R and it makes the roof flex about .5 inches

i never said anything about 1500 rms each. if you read my post i said 2 12's with 1500 sealed or 1 12 with 750 rms ported . i already have 1 in a 3 c.f. ported box. my question is since i have 2 subs but don't have the room for a ported box would 2 sealed be louder than the 1 ported that i have now
