Put an OHM meter on the speaker, with no wires attached
Select lowest OHM setting, like 200, should read 3 to 7

0 or N/C(no connection, no change) would be a bad speaker

A torn speaker still works, it just buzzes and rattles

Select AC Volts on meter, hook it to the speaker wires, turn on radio(low volume) and check if you are getting voltage from the wires, any voltage means the wires and that amp channel is OK.
If no volts then a wire is bad or that channel in the amp is bad

What year Ranger and which radio system?
