subs agian!

i know ive put like 50 subs on RF but im wondering if you guys have any suggestions with this sub. i like this sub because it comes in a sealed truck box and the rms is 400 watts. im not buying from crutchfield...jus fyi

Kicker TCVT122 Sealed truck enclosure with one 12" CompVT subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

i dont know alot bout systems but my old friend in ohio(does competitions) always told me to stay away from kicker...he always said they blow the cone or over heat quickly

Ive had some kicker CompVrs and wasent impressed. JL and Alpine all the way!

My friend had that same sub/box in his Tacoma and blew it pretty quick, you can't even move the speaker in or out any so Im guessing he like broke something on the sub too. He had a pretty decent audio place do it too so it was all setup right too.

The cvts are nice subs but they take power to get the sound right. A kicker 400x1 amp is perfect for pushing one of them. I am a kicker guy myself. The CVRs did have problems blowing easy but the solobaric I had was mean.

ive only ever used kicker they make great products never had a problem when i had my kick set up in my ranger i got muddy water in my amp and it shut off and the next day it turned on worked fine never gave me a problem since... and now that's ive got a bigger car i went with this kicker set up Name:  Picture011.jpg

Size:  84.5 KB and couldn't be anymore impressed with how well the sub handles the power and takes a beating and it doesn't hurt it at all... go kicker!
