I hear yeah, but I'm not into competing or anything like that. I looked on there site and saw they have a 1 year warranty. Also, I can't find the specs of there subs.

well dont count on them emailing you back any time soon, nu need to call them for anything, they are just a small company with a little crew, but for the price nothing can touch the subs, and an SE is deff not an spl sub, it is a perfect daily sub, gets pretty loud, and sounds really good, what do you want to know about them i canprolly find them for you if i dont know, i know for a fact it will sound better and be louder than that polk you were looking at if done right

Actually if you click on the bottom box in the top left hand corner, it will show you the T/S parameters. BTW, the SX (no idea about the price) only needs 0.369 ft3 and if you put it in a 1 ft3 box it will sound even better!

Ps- I know a bit late, and off-topic from the current discussion but I have had my 3 12w6v2s up and running for a few weeks now and WOW. It is night and day better than the w3s in mid to upper range bass, and much much more solid thumpin bass throughout. AWESOME sound quality woofer, and stupid loud at the same time

ok, guru... how much power do we need on a SX12 in an enclousre about 1.6-1.7 ft3 to reach xmax?? I just ant to get those low down hz, man. It's better to produce bass by moving alot of air calmly than to move a little air violently. Then there's SPL Comps..

have you bought the SX yet? is that box sealed or ported, SX dosent like sealed boxs, and if im not mistake you want a crazy Sq system right? going with nice comps and denon and all right. if you havnt bought the SX yet, i would really hate for you to buy it and be dissapointed because its more of an entry spl sub, and it dosent really like sealed boxes any, so i would suggest you get a different sub, i can show you some links of some subs that are more sq oriented and like smaller ported boxes and sealed boxes if you want, SX's like big ported boxes, on my old SX in 2.5 cu ft box, i had 1200 watts on it, and it got to Xmax nice maybe a little to much, it was over xmax on some stuff, not linear dosent sound happy but do you want a lot of bass, or just some to compliment music, i say get a 1200 watt amp and set gains for 1200 when you want bass, or set them less for music to blend, or you could just turn sub output down on HU when you dont want it as loud just a thought, i would suggest another sub for getting low and sounding good in small box if you bought it yu can still make it work but just not as good as some others, but the key is It's all in the Install

Actually, My friend and I were about to buy 3 tomorrow or tuesday. 2 for him, 1 for me. I'm definitely a fan of sealed boxes, so while we're on the subject I'll need a few references. Thanks dude, Oh and they need to be around the same price just not more expensive. $250-$275

an SX is a great sub for loudness and pretty good sounding, but try soundsplinter
www.soundsplinter.com
www.ascendantaudio.com

but you might have to get a used ascendant sub, they are in the middle of getting a new line out so no subs until new ones r out, so i would suggest loking into a soundsplinter RL-p, can handle 1000rms daily, but dont put too much more on there and it wiould be different from your friend, these subs are great

a image dynamics id max--------------
oz audio matrix elite same sub^
you wouldnt want to go XXX would you? its a big price jump, SE's do good in sealed boxes, but it only holds 600rms, never mind XXXs arnt avalible now either RE is remodeling them

here is a link where a guy did a review of an XXX and RL-P
the RL-p won for powers under 1000, but over 1000 the XXX was better but overall it was close, the RL-p had better lows than XXX i think he said dont remember here is link http://caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=83356

although it dosent really do the XXX any good running off 750rms but thats all he had he said, but it was tested using a seald box and 750rms, and RL-p is suppsed to be good at sealed iirc

go to www.realmofexcursion.com and viseos to look at some RL-ps in action under soundsplinter http://realmofexcursion.com/videos/S...er/rlp12.2.wmv
here is one
ive guess youve heard of image dynamics if not here is link http://imagedynamicsusa.com/products...idmax&type=sub

http://realmofexcursion.com/videos/I.../idmax12.5.wmv

ozaudio http://ozaudio.com/oz/oz_prod_matrix_elite.htm
same as idmax

i cant think of anymore but i will try and post up some tomorrow morning
tell me what exactly u want out of it na d box size and power, you might just need to get SX and be happy, but yoyu would not be dissapointed with an RLp, you might could get 2 RLi 8s or 2 RLi 10s they would sound nice, maybe some type Rs, but soundsplinter is supposed to have some of the best customer service availble

ooh and you can make a ported box sound good , just tune really low(20h/23hz, and you will get that extra out put at low hz, and will not have a big hump in frewuency at a higher frequency and it will be loude rincase you want it louder

nope, I didn't buy the stx sub. Also, I have a sealed box. Also, how does a 3 year old model JL w3 for $100-$120 sound. Seller said used for about a year only.

Don't mean to sound cocky but,

I KNOW THIS...

And, also, trying to tune a port for a subwoofer meant to be in a car at 20/23hz would be imposible. I would have to use my entire exhaust for a port...

Well, the box I'm building has a volume of about 1.7ft3 before displacement. the sub will be flushed in the box. I will need a dual 2ohm sub to run a impedance switching system (for better spl numbers, and showing off) and I still haven't decided which amps to use. I was thinking clif because the 20.2LX will mount on the side of the box. but in order to run the impedance switching system, I'll need to add a 1ohm resistor in series with the sub to keep from dropping the impedance down too low for the amp (it'll be bridged). Unless it would be alright to run the amp at 1ohm bridged and It'll will run at 2ohm. Unless I can find an HCCA at a decent price. I could even possibly do the ported thing, but then I would make the port swapable. Like have a section at the top where a "port piece" can be taken out and a "sealed piece" and be bolted in or vice versa. Too many options...
