Ahh yes that would be better if your looking to save twenty. Not a bad idea if you want to try it yourself and it's not so hard to do. Even with that in mind people still get it with oil changes and other work. I think that it is a good idea to look into if you tried it yourself and are still thinking about buying new lenses that's all.

$40
It is $40 for us to do it for ya and if we mess it up we make it right..if you do it yourself and mess up; you get to buy a whole other kit and go at it again...that is not to say we mess up that often.

I don't know if anyone posted this yet. I used different grits of sandpaper and water for lubrication. I went from 300 grit and stepped up to 600 grit. Then went to 800 then 1000. Then finally went to 3000. After feeling like my arms were lead weights, I used the turtle wax red paste and worked it in, then rinsed it off. Then went to the white paste, working it in as well. Then lastly I sprayed it with some Stoner's Invisible Glass to give it a clean look. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

Even easier.
Break fluid.
Go to your garage,Grab that bottle of break fluid and a rag. Put some on a towel and *polish* the head lights. ( Like you would do with wax around in circles use elbow greese) Might have to do 1 let it dry while doing the other.
Go back wipe off any left over residue, Repeat if your not satisfied. It doesnt take much fluid to go a very long ways. Just A couple tips of the bottle.
Saw this on a volvo forum. Worked great on my Brother in-laws mercedes, My Old Tahoe, My friends Volvo and My new to me Ranger.

Getting headlights clear again
This is a late reply but I found a cheap headlight lens restore kit at Harbor Freight for $12-15. It comes with sandpaper that you chuck into your drill so you can wetsand and then polish. It is a one-time use kit so if you want to do it more than once you may want to use another kit but for me since I only needed to do it one time for now it worked out very well for me.

I am presuming you have " designer lense's" and not the older sealed beam lights. Over time and miles the lense's contact lots of blown sand ,dirt and other abrasives. This will make them cloudy. I bought some very slightly abrasive glass cleaner from a store called Tap Plastics; it worked great and didn't cost much at all. it could be dirty inside. That would be my second guess because these things are sealed to be weather proof. Remember the old style sealed beam lights; you got a new lens every time you needed a new light.
