I have always been a huge fan of Meguiars products, I've been using their Gold Class wax since it hit the market. When I saw the advertisements for the NXT Generation wax, how could I not give it a try. I was very impressed with the shine and the reflective quality of the wax, and found it even easier to use than the Gold Class [which is saying something]. After about 3 weeks I noticed that rain wasn't beading as much, and became disappointed in the product. They claimed that it was the longest lasting product they have ever made, yet I wasn't finding that to be the case. I emailed them with a poor review of the product's lasting ability [but was still very impressed by the shine] and this was their response

"Dear Valued Customer,

If you are only using beading as an indicator, your assumption that all of the wax protection is gone may be wrong. The NXT is really designed to sheet water off the paint rather than bead it up. This helps get the water off of the paint more efficiently and although it may not appear to have much wax left on it, be assured that the wax will last about two to three months.

I hope that sufficiently answers your question. If you have any more questions, feel free to email me again. Or if you would like to speak with me personally, you can reach me at 1(800) 854-8073 ext. 171. I'll be glad to help you.

Thank you for choosing Meguiar's!

Nathan Foth,

Meguiar's Surface Care Specialist "

Given that, I have continued to happily use NXT wax. As far as wanting a product that will last an entire summer, I've never seen one.

Re: What tire pressure should I actually use?

Basically for any of those "high tech" waxes to work, you have to first use a clay bar to clean the paint surface thoroughly. I've heard that NXT is just about the best store-brand polish available. I use Zaino, which can only be ordered over the internet, www.zainostore.com.
