powerwashing engine
you can pressure wash the engine bay no problem. I used to work at a dealer and we did it all day every day. Just do it when the engine is cold and have it running when you do it. Don't hold the water constantly on it. Move the wand in a back and forth motion. the only time you have problems is with vehiles on an open distibutor or a open ignition sytem. If your ranger is newer that a 95 you won't have any problems.
ive only done it twice on my ranger and both times were at a local car wash on low pressure and there engine degrease r and both times it worked fine but i was holding my breath both times
the first time was when i just got the truck wanted to clean it up a bit
the second time was when my high pressure steering hose busted
