Fuel Injector Spray Pattern
Fuel Injector Spray Pattern
Can anyone show me what a normal fuel injector spray pattern looks like for a 2001 Ranger withe DOHC? I have looked around YouTube and here and there...but still havent seen this specific four hole pattern and what it is supposed to look like.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The cap with the 4 holes is called the pintle, it can be changed

Thank You Much. I had seen that pic, but wasnt sure exactly what I was looking for. I did a quick test and they all have the same "V" shape like #4. So I guess they are pretty bad. I had looked at replacing the pintle, but wasnt sure how reliable a rebuild would be compared to OE. I really dont want to take this IM off again...
Fuel Injector Rebuild kits, with new pintles, for 4cyl engine is usually under $20
So not much of a gamble
New set is is about $150
Local shops often rebuild injectors for $20-$25 each, so as new, they test them as well
