Best way to tighten trans pan
For the past 20k miles or so I've noticed every few thousand miles or so my trans pan drips a couple drops a day. Now when I go under and check it out i definately see where it's dripping from and it looks like the bolts that hold the pan on. Each time I go under I can get a good 1/4 or 1/2 turn on them tighter because they seem to loosen up. At 100k (20k miles ago) i had my trans serviced (flush/filter) at AAMCO and I am thinking that it's never been the same since, it's always oily/greasy and use t obe dry as a rock before.
I was thinking of taking each bolt out one by one, drying it off with a rag and putting them back in, would threadlocker be a good idea or is that ludicris..?! Obviously i dont want it to drip and i also dont really want to spend another $xxx to take it back somewhere where they can drop the pan, clean it completely and put it back up, but if that's the best thing to do I can.
Thoughts?
