1994 Ranger Xlt 4x4 trouble

Less than two weeks ago i got a 94 ranger from a used car dealer and when I got it the 4X4 and low range buttons worked just fine. A few days later I tried to go use low range and it wouldn't engage. later that day the 4X4 wouldn't work either. I looked at fuses and there's nothing wrong there. Then I found the 4X4 module behind the driver side jump seat and pressed the button on the top and the LED stayed on until i shut the truck completely off. Also, if I press 4X4 when the ignition is on i can hear the module click twice like its turning on and right back off again. Any Ideas on what this might be/ a solution??

I've been watching to see who replies to you're posing with an answer I'm not sure what the problem is I just know that the solution would be to get a 1354 manual transfer case and put that in and forget about the boat anchor. Not trying to be funny but the best thing I ever did was put in the manual transfer case

Thanks. I think I'll just live the 2wd life for a while. I know it could be the electric selector on the transfer case so I might check that.

Most likely it is but if you have to buy a new one there around the hundred dollars you could pick yourself up a 1354 manual transfer case for Less
