2.3 to 3.0 swap

Hello forum. I have a 1995 ranger with a 2.3 and a 5 spd. I am looking for a little more torque and my 2.3 is tired and leaking. Its a texas truck so there isn't a speck of rust. Does anyone know if the 5 spd in the 2.3 will bolt up to a 3.0, or will I have to change the trans or bell housing?

No, not the same, 3.0l Vulcan was one of a kind for Rangers
Ford did make a 2.3l HSC engine that had the same pattern as 3.0l but that wasn't used in a Ranger.
Ranger 2.3l is OHC

You will need engine/trans, wiring and computer

1995 was first year of OBD II for Ranger so you may want to stick with '95-'97 3.0l, '98 had a different fuel system.
