I have an 01 4.0 that blew. I need to know what years are interchangeable. Can anybody help me out?

2001-2011 4.0l SOHC Long block, VIN "E" is the engine type in Rangers, Explorers and Mazda B4000 models, VIN "X" was the older 4.0l OHV engine

You will swap over your upper and lower intake to the "new" Long Block, so wiring matches up

Maybe the oil pan as well, depends on 2WD or 4x4, you don't need the model with internal Balancer, if that comes up, doesn't hurt or help

If looking at used engines then 2004-2011 will avoid the timing chain issues these had, you still need to swap upper and lower intakes

Also on these you should replace the Knock sensor
And on any engine swap you replace the rear main seal
