2001 Mazda B3000 standard swap

I recently took a manual transmission from a 94 ranger and dropped it in my automatic 01 Mazda. Now my speedometer an odometer do not work along with my reverse lights. Would putting a clutch position sensor behind my clutch fix the reverse lights? I know I have to get an old school mechanical cable and an adapter for my electronic speedometer/odometer to work again. TIA

You just need to wire the 1994 VSS on the transmission to the speedometer, it has the correct 8,000ppm needed, it also has a gear that can be changed to match your axle ratio and tire size for more accurate speed if its off a bit

Look here: https://therangerstation.com/tech_li...edometer.shtml
3rd and 4th picture are what the 1994 VSS sensor looks like, 2 wire connector, one wire will be grounded, the other will run to instrument cluster's pin1 center connector, a grey/black wire, splice it in so signal can go both ways, to speedo and back into harness, that should feed cruise as well

The automatic wiring harness will have the Reverse light wiring down at the transmission location on drivers side, it was plugged into the DTR sensor on the shifter linkage
You need to cut and move/extend 2 of those wires to connect to the Reverse light switch that is on the manual transmission, drivers side at top toward the back of the shifter cover plate
You also need the connector to plug the 2 wires into the switch
Purple/orange stripe wire will have 12v key on
Black/pink stripe wire goes to the reverse light bulbs

It just a switch so no polarity just hook each wire to the connector and plug it in
