2004 Ford Ranger 4X4 4.0 left front wheel hub

I am looking at Rock Auto to find replacement bearings for the passenger side front hub assembly
for my 2004 Ford Ranger 4X4 4.0. AC Delco wants $148 and Moog $102. I had an emergency and
had to have the left side replaced , but now i can replace the other side myself and save some $.

Any advice on what to purchase would be appreciated.

I can only go with recent experience with my 98 4x4 which is a different system, but I would say Timken or SKF. I'm not a fan of Moog anymore. They just aren't what they use to be with respect to other parts so wouldn't take a chance. I'm not too confident in AC Delco for this sort of stuff either. I had a set of Raybestos on mine for all of 8k and they both failed. Put the Timkens on after that and they've been fine for about 15k and counting. Again, different from your 04 setup but that's my experience.

In our world it's not just "old familiar names" which are sputtering on the quality front....it's batch to batch QC, You can buy an OK name and still get stung.

As above, Hopefully Timken and SKF are still good.

A front wheel bearing from *** (Germany) went into my Volvo years ago and is still on the road.
