I have quite a steep driveway, uphill from the house to the gate. Occasionally our Ranger won't climb it and my wife has to rev the guts out of it to make it up the drive. Funnily this has only happened to her, not me.
Have I got a transmission problem, or is there something in our different driving styles that may cause this.
It's a 2016 Ranger XLT with 65,000 km on the clock.

You have a T6 Ranger which we could never get here in North America, ours were 1983 to 2011 and smaller

But yes that reads like an automatic transmission issue, its not downshifting and holding the higher ratio to go up a hil

 

Any type of trans issue I first make sure the fluid is at the correct level, too much or too little can cause problems.
