08 ranger 4.0 automatic, when I shift into 4by 4 it goes no problem but when I shift back to 2 wheel drive it takes as long as a 1/4 mile to disengage what would cause this, also it will engage and disengage to 4 low no problem only 4 high is the problem,

 

You don't need to start 3 threads for the same problem.
