4R70 v. 4R/5R Transmission Pan

4R70 v. 4R/5R Transmission Pan

Are the pans from the 2 Transmissions compatible? Reason being, I'm looking at Mag-Hytec's Website and it says for "Explorers" but not Rangers, and I'm wondering if that's the V8 Explorers, not the 4.0L Explorers...

No, they are a different shape and size.

If you want a larger pan for your 4r/5r look to the aftermarket A4LD pan. Extra 3 quarts, IIRC.
