4wd issues

ok well i had an issue with the 4wd not working last summer and the lights blinking. It went away though. now its not working again. I replaced the shift motor to no avail, and tried a new switch. when it starts you can here the switch in the dash clicking but the lights still just blink. I'm not sure where to go next, but it won't be a dealer. so any ideas? I also tried a different switch i pulled awhile back at the junkyard, it didn't fix it or even click so i assume that switch is bad.

the clicking is deffinately in the dash. also the 4wd functions as normal, when the shift motor was off i turned it manually and tested it. now it just won't go in 4wd and blinks as i drive.

The 4wd control module might be bad.

x2. Try unhooking the battery for a few and trying it again. Once they screw up, they seems to like to stay that way until they are reset.

ive used te hub fix by pulling out the clips that worked for along time, and they are fine because if i maually put it in 4wd it works. and i have tried unhooking the battery.

theres a how to on here. actually thats how i found this site when i first got my truck almost two years ago. just search, i believe it's somthing like "pulse vaccum hub fix" has work for almost two years. i just need to get this truck fixed because it will be for sale soon. i have a feeling something big is going to go bad and i can't afford it.

I know this is an old thread - but I solved the same problem by cleaning the connection in the plug on the back of the transfer case. Works like new. Shift on the fly 4 hi and neutral with brake on to get in and out of 4 low.
