4wd will not engage.

So i just tried to back out of our ditch...had to park there due to friends in my driveway. i went to use 4wd so that i didnt spin the tires and it would not engage. on mine you can hear the motor engage then the light comes on, not this time. so i get into my parking spot and check the fuses, they look fine, changed the one in the cab just for giggles and still no go. I dont have the one for the main engine compartnent but will pick one up tomorrow. like i said the fuses look fine. I know it has worked very recently. only thing electrical i did was remove the battery terminal one at a time and clean them. anything else i need to look for?

well check the switch in the dash, make sure its still working and plugged in. Then I'd check the motor on the transfer case. Many many many people have problems with them getting to dirty and then not working.

so the lights don't flash?
i would check the connections, go wiggle all the wires, make sure they are connected, or just give it some time, thats what always fixed mine.. haha

you don't need the tool. I pull that whole out covering out. Just grab it from the lower part where the heater controllers are and it will pop out the whole thing.

thats exactly what happened to me. I disconnected the negative side of my battery and my 4wd will not work. No lights no sounds nothing. I replaced the 4wd switch but that wasn't it. If you find out whats wrong I would really like to know what it was.
